The Quilt...
Special Auction Item

The auction committee for the Irish Wolfhound Club of America
National Specialty is excited to share with you one of our special
donations for this year’s auction. The item is a hand-made quilt
measuring 88” x 88” and featuring over 100 Irish Wolfhounds from the
past to the present. The colors are more vibrant toward the top of the
quilt representing the northern part of our beautiful country and
moving into more pastel colors at the bottom representing the more
southern areas of our country. The dogs are represented in subtle
graphics on the quilt. Some dogs are more easily recognizable than
others and it can be hours of fun just scouring the quilt trying to make
identifications and test your skills. All the names of the dogs that
appear on the quilt are permanently recorded on the back of the quilt
along with the logo for this year’s National Specialty.
The auction committee would like to thank Genette Fuller for her
original idea for this quilt, for her outstanding execution of bringing the
quilt to fruition and for her many, many hours of hard work. It is
appreciated beyond words.
